First Impressions

First Impressions Ministry is about creating an atmosphere of warmth and welcome in order to provide a safe environment for people to take their next step towards Christ. When guests arrive at EastLake Church they are warmly received by our teams properly directed, graciously treated and easily seated.

Parking Ministry - The Parking Ministry is an interactive, people oriented ministry designed to ensure a safe and welcoming experience to all attendees of EastLake Church. Each volunteer will serve one service in the parking lot, ideally before or after the service they attend.


Greeters - The Greeter Ministry welcomes people and makes them feel comfortable at ECC services and other church events. We consider it a blessing to make people smile and feel more a part of the church family. Our goal is to create an atmosphere of warmth and personal greeting outside our entrances to welcome guests into our programs.


Ushers - The Usher Ministry goal is to create an atmosphere of warmth and personal greeting inside our service to welcome guests into our church. We enhance the services by helping people find seats, receiving the offering and being available to help with any handouts during the service.


First-Serve Coordination Team - The first-serve team helps to organize and lead our quarterly first-serve efforts. These events are generally Saturday morning, all-church events where we clean, fix, and work on all types of odd-jobs to serve the church. Team members should be organized, energetic, and willing to get a little dirty.


First Impressions Coordination - The First Impressions Coordinators are responsible for the scheduling and tracking of Parking, Greeting, Usher, Newcomers and Connection Center volunteers for the weekend services. These volunteers should be administratively gifted, and detail oriented. They will help field our great service teams each weekend.


Newcomer's Ministry - The Newcomer's Ministry exists to welcome people to EastLake Community Church and to help them get connected with every aspect of our church. First time guests are often looking for answers, information, or just want to know someone-we make ourselves available to meet these needs and help them feel comfortable at ECC. Volunteers help man stations after each service to meet our guests.


Information Station Volunteers - The Information Stations team exists to greet, answer questions, and inform all who ask what EastLake Community Church has to offer. First and long time members of ECC are often looking for information on everything from programs specifics to lost-and-found. This team makes themselves available to meet these needs and help our members feel comfortable asking all kinds of questions. Volunteers help man stations before and after each service.


Discovery Series Team - This team helps to coordinate all aspects of our Discovery Series classes. Everything from food presentation, registration, and hospitality (parking, greeting, and ushering) needs to be organized and manned. This team fills any one of these roles in an effort to coordinate an excellent class experience. This team hosts Discovery Series classes no more than one evening per month.
